District Liquors is rated 4.7 out of 5 stars, based on 31 reviews!
This is the best liquor store in whole DC. Especially around Downtown area of the city. They have the cheapest prices and many variety of hard to find liquors and good selection of wines. Lots of selection of Craft Beers and domestic beer also. Best friendly staff and they even have some parking on the side. Which is hard to find in the city.
It's always good Everytime I do go there
Great selection on everything. Beer, wine & spirits. From rails of rum and vodka to super high end rums and whiskeys. If don't see what you're looking for, just ask! They will probably have it somewhere in the store!
Interesting little booze outlet close to the hostel I was starting at... Good times.
Best liquor store in DC. Best prices.
Great price on liquor
Great customer service
Very good selection at fairly decent prices. Some nice premium whiskeys.
Very cheap liquor
Not huge, but lots of choices. More booze than beer.
Solid prices, friendly dudes A++
Convenient and is located in midtown DC
Great selection of liquor and the best prices around
Cheapest spot for 5 sq blocks, locals been coming here for the 16 years I have lived down the street. Owners been through it all and then some but still seem to smile at everyone. I will be a life long customer, anything I need they can't provide I can get on Capitol Hill.
Very nice customer service and very competitive pricing
This is my favorite liquor store in DC. They have a surprising variety of nice wines too, and their prices are fair across the board. Everyone who works here is great. I would go out of my way to shop here versus a lot of other wine and liquor shops in the area.
I was searching for a specific brand of sake and the other stores that listed it online really didn't have it. Called District Liquors and Shawn was very friendly and polite over the phone. He had the same I wanted in stock! I didn't tell him I was coming but he held it at the register just in case I came. I.m purchased more liquor because of the service he provided as well as the reasonable prices for the tequila I wanted. I will definitely be returning to visit Shawn.
Love this place. Great prices, good selection of wine.
This my favorite liquor store! It's not fancy, but they have the BEST prices in the DMV area. I live in NoVA and it's worth the trip. Whenever I host a party this is my one-stop-shopping for liquor and wine. Friendly, helpful staff. When I have a large purchase, the staff will load the liquor in my car. They have a small parking lot, maybe 5-6 spaces, but I haven't had a problem getting a parking space. Sometimes they have wine or liquor promotions and will offer free samples. I highly recommend them.
The best liquor store in town. I have been going here for 15+ years.
Great store. Had a variety of wines and craft beers.
I love both of the doctors in this office. I bring my parents and my kids there as well. They make you confident that you are in good hands
I live very close and this store had the best prices in a several block radius. I buy all my beer and liquor here.
They have all the products at the best price .
Great price on j.walker black .
Very ghetto, but dirt cheap for most things. I live near DL and I go there most of the time for my "supplies". It is still stuck in the bad old days where they are still behind bulletproof glass and the clientele can be shady. Wine selection is okay; they recently opened up an area that used to behind the counter with all their wines so you can actually handle the wine, although, you still have to point out what booze you want. Staff is friendly. I got a bottle of Macallan Cask Strength for $47 before taxes! Most places sell it for $65-$75. All in all, a decent liquor store as long as you can handle the full-on ghettoness of this place.
This well may be the shadiest liquor store in the city. But the booze is insanely cheap, thus, I love it.
Granted, I would never go alone because of said shadiness, but they're always running great deals, like Heinny kegorator kegs for less than $20.
My brother-non-in-law might kill me for writing this, putting biz out about these deals and all, but never mind that. Save yourselves some dough! And don't forget to thank and tip the drunk homeless guy who opened the door for you!
I've lived around this liquor store for over two years, but the shadiness of the building's exterior prevented me from going inside until this past weekend. But I completely regret not visiting sooner because they have a great selection with really friendly, passionate staff. The interior is actually nicer than many liquor stores in the area, and they have a respectable wine and beer section, as well as off-the-wall liqueurs and mixers, in addition to standbys.
We came looking for spiced rum that was not Captain Morgan, and one member of the staff enthusiastically brought out a bunch of bottles for us to see. It was obvious that he knew a lot about his products, and he was simply an easygoing guy that made us feel welcome in the liquor store, very unlike many of the staff in similar establishments. There were all manner of clientele when we were there, and you could tell that there was a drink and a pricepoint for everyone.
Great store for all your drinking needs, from big name cans of beer to craft rye whiskeys older than you are. Will definitely be frequenting.
Pretty good little store for the area. Being so close to Convention Ctr and Dowtown, the area has a lot of fancier stores offering more exotic hard to find iquors and beer. But with that also comes higher pricing. If you want just a simple, easy to find beer, for a great price, this is your store. Customer service pretty good. Inventory average. I'll absolutely return.
Great neighborhood liquor store with amazing prices. Seems to be family-run. I have been to several liquor stores all over the DC area and these guys have the best prices on all kinds of liquor. They also have a decent selection of wine and beer.
I would highly recommend you check this place out if you're looking for liquor and you're in the area.
Great prices hands down! Also, a surprisingly large selection of wine for those who enjoy vino. There's sometimes an interesting clientele (same with those around the area of the storefront), but it's harmless. I always prefer going here over area stores given the prices and proximity to my apartment.
Cheapest liquor store I have ever been to in DC
